Frequently Asked Questions
We are a family-owned company dedicated to sourcing specialty green coffee from Brazil and distributing to independent roasters in the Netherlands and beyond.
Even though we are connected to both coffee growers and to coffee roasters, we always use third party infrastructure providers - such as warehouses and logistics to operators - guarantee the best quality. This lean structure allows us to provide the lowest prices everyday without compromising on quality.
We're based in the Netherlands, ensuring full compliance with EU regulations and tax obligations. Above all, we believe in building long-term, recurring, and transparent relationships with our partners.
We source our specialty green coffee exclusively from Brazil's most reliable cooperatives, partnering with processing machine operators such as Leste de Minas, located in Varginha.
These partnerships guarantee consistency and low defect rates. These trusted suppliers ensure that every batch meets high standards for flavor profiles, screen size, rate of defects, sustainability, and traceability.
Our focus on single-origin coffees means we prioritize regions known for their terroir, such as the Minas Gerais area, which consistently produces coffees with notes of chocolate, nuts, and caramel.
According to the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), specialty green coffee refers to beans that score 80+ on its cupping scale, which emphasizes flavors and minimal defects.
Our sourcing process from producers and cooperatives in Brazil ensures low defects through rigorous processing at facilities like those in Minas Gerais. It ensures traceability and a stable process during the entire year.
We focus exclusively on high scoring lots of specialty coffees processed naturally. These tend to present stable chocolate, nuts and caramel flavour.
Independent roasters usually have our beans as the core and stable product. Then, more exotic and fruity coffees are a great complement and a source of innovation.
We follow the best practices from the coffee industry.
Our green coffee is transported in durable bags placed inside secure containers, which protects against moisture, temperature fluctuations, and contamination.
Bags are multi-layer hermetic liners (e.g., GrainPro or Ecotact) inserted in 30 or 60kg jute sacks. These provide high-barrier protection against moisture, oxygen, and pests, preserving quality per EU regulations.
Containers are sealed and monitored throughout the journey, typically via ocean freight for efficiency and environmental considerations. Upon arrival, quality checks are conducted to confirm no degradation has occurred.
These bags are stored in pallets elevated from the ground and spaced from airflow in independent climatized Dutch warehouses. This independent setup guarantees quality preservation and reliable last-mile delivery per EU standards.
We adopt the "payment on delivery" model.
This means you only pay once the coffee is delivered to your door, eliminating counterpart risks (such as non-delivery or quality issues) and reducing your working capital needs.
For independent roasters, this is particularly advantageous as it allows you to manage cash flow better without upfront commitments. We handle all logistics and risks up to delivery, so you can focus on roasting and selling without financial strain.
Meanwhile, our operations become leaner and we can always offer the best price to independent roasters.
Our pricing is based on offering the lowest price every day.
It is only possible because our operations are lean: we focus on single-origin, single-product with a single destination (primarily the Netherlands), which reduces complexity and overhead costs.
Our specialization allows us to pass savings directly to both coffee growers in Brazil and coffee roasters in Europe. Prices are transparent and updated regularly based on market conditions, but always competitive for the quality provided. No hidden fees or markups—just straightforward, value-driven pricing.
This means we concentrate on one high-quality origin (Brazil), one core product (specialty green coffee), and one primary market destination (the Netherlands/EU).
This specialization streamlines our supply chain, reduces costs, and ensures expertise in every step. For roasters, it translates to reliable access to consistent flavour, traceable coffee without the variability of multi-origin blends.
It also supports sustainability by investing in long-term relationships with specific cooperatives, fostering better farming practices and community development in Brazil.
Indeed, we exchange best practices along the supply chain, creating real change.
We understand that you like to vary your supply of exotic coffees - from places such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Guatemala, Honduras and Rwanda. Meanwhile, you need a reliable supply of great specialty coffees at a good price that do not vary so much.
We understand that our role is to provide this reliable base of your green coffee supply: exceptional Brazilian specialty coffee at the best possible price.
This strong foundation makes your roastery healthier financially, allowing you to allocate resources toward expanding your operations and sourcing more exotic or rare beans from other origins. These can add excitement and variety to your offerings, helping you differentiate and delight your customers with unique blends or single-origins.
As such, we are developing a win-win relationship.
Our company is family-owned with a lean, verticalized structure. This means we develop direct trades with Brazilian growers to deliver to Dutch roasters - without unnecessary layers of bureaucracy or intermediaries.
Being family-run ensures personal accountability, quick decision-making, and a passion for coffee that drives our commitment to quality. This efficiency enables us to offer the lowest prices for premium coffee while maintaining high standards. We're not beholden to shareholders, so our focus is on long-term relationships rather than short-term profits.
We have an operating company in the Netherlands that buys coffee from a Brazilian cooperative. As such, we follow European standards of compliance, environmental, transparency and tax reporting. Indeed, part of our team is based in the Netherlands to better assist our clients.
Being headquartered in the Netherlands positions us within the EU's robust regulatory framework, which we fully comply with. This includes paying all applicable taxes and adhering to strict standards on food safety, environmental impact, and labor practices. For customers, this means peace of mind knowing our operations meet the highest European standards, including traceability requirements under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and organic certifications where applicable. It also facilitates seamless logistics within the EU single market.
Indeed, our plan is to transfer to coffee producers and roasters a big part of the benefits from scale and efficiency within the EU.
We believe climate change and labour will be the main bottlenecks affecting the coffee supply chain.
Sustainability is at the heart of our operations. We partner with cooperatives that prioritize environmentally friendly farming, such as shade-grown methods and water conservation. Our direct trade ensures fair compensation for growers.
We source our coffee exclusively from Brazil, which has one of the strictest legislation in the world for environmental protection. Through the Forest Code (Law No. 12.651/2012), every rural property is required to preserve a portion as Legal Reserve with native vegetation. The minimum percentage is at least 20% in regions outside the Legal Amazon (such as pure Cerrado or other areas), rising to 35% or 80% in the Amazon, depending on the biome. This obligation ensures biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, and agricultural sustainability.
Indeed, we partner with Veros, which provides independent transparency reports from the areas we source our beans.
Additionally, we pledge to plant one native tree on our farm in Brazil for every bag of coffee sold in Europe—this reforestation initiative helps restore biodiversity and combat climate change. We plan to share the actual benefits that reforestation brings in terms of quality, resilience and necessity of irrigation.
Yes! We strongly believe in long-term, recurring, and transparent partnerships. To foster these, we organize guided trips from Europe to our producing farms and cooperatives in Brazil. These visits allow roasters to see the origins firsthand, meet the growers, understand the processes, and build lasting connections. It's an immersive experience that deepens appreciation for the coffee and strengthens trust in our supply chain. Details on upcoming trips are shared with our regular partners.
Our primary customers are independent coffee roasters in the Netherlands and across Europe who value high-quality, affordable green beans. This includes small-batch artisans, specialty cafes, and mid-sized roasteries looking for reliable single-origin options.

We specialize in Brazilian specialty greens, focusing on varieties like Bourbon, Catuai, Arara and Mundo Novo from regions such as Cerrado and Sul de Minas. Our single-product approach means we curate lots based on seasonal availability, emphasizing naturally processed beans.
Each offering is detailed upon inquiry, including SCA scores, processing methods and flavour notes (mostly chocolate, caramel and nutty flavours).
Quality starts at the source with low-defect guarantees from our Brazilian partners. We use advanced screening processes at the benefit facility to minimize issues like greens, black beans, small stones or insect damage. It is really effective.
Upon arrival in the Netherlands, we perform independent lab tests for moisture, density, and defects. Our storage protocols prevent post-harvest degradation. If any lot doesn't meet our standards, it's rejected—ensuring you receive only top-tier coffee.
To keep things accessible for independent roasters, our minimum orders are flexible, starting as low as one bag of 60 kg.
This low threshold, combined with payment on delivery, makes it easy to scale without overcommitting. Larger orders qualify for volume discounts, but we prioritize relationships over bulk sales.
Our edge comes from our focus. Our workforce at origin is committed to creating real impact and implementing the best practices. We share it publicly.
We believe we are creating a more sustainable business when combining focus and willingness to share the gains to both coffee growers and coffee roasters. In practical terms, we will always offer the best price for quality.
